Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dr. Arun, Thanks for your answer. You were right on target. It was a hernia. My primary doctor suspected it was but could not confirm and sent me to a surgeon. He confirmed an inguinal hernia and ordered a CT scan which also showed an umbilical hernia. Both have been corrected by surgery.
Dear- thanks for using our service. I understand that you had inguinal and umbilical hernia and they were repaired. That is the only treatment that we have available for these types of hernia. I am glad that you had surgery and just avoid to lift heavy things because the hernias can develop again. You might want to use a hernia support if you need to lift things heavier than 10 pounds to avoid that will recur. Hope that you are feeling better Dr.Sara
