Suggest Treatment For Infection In The Finger Nails

I have a finger that has become infected as a result of a nail issue. A doctor friend suggested soaking it in warm water and 3% Hydogen Peroxide. ( one part Hydrogen Peroxide to four parts water. ) Do agree that this is worth trying in advance of seeking medical attention ? Thanks.

Hi,

And since I'm unable to examine you directly, thus if the infection doesn't respond to treatment.

Then the only permanent remedy would be to remove the nail under Local anaesthesia after consulting a general surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
