General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It can be due to inflammation of stomach lining or gastritis however acid peptic disease etc should be ruled out. Most reliable test to confirm should be upper GI endoscopy however may not be needed at this stage. Using simple antacids like sucralfate along with oral omerperazole before meals as well motilly agents like domperidone or itapride may be helpful. Avoiding spicy, junk foods, or fizzy drinks for next few weeks may be helpful.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
