Suggest Treatment For Hyperpigmentation Around The Mouth

Hi, I got a chemical peel done about 7 weeks ago and the skin around my mouth and my eye got scabbed so badly. I still have hyperpigmentation around my mouth and eye an very prominently seen. I fidn people starring around my mouth. Is there anything I can do to lighten this fast ?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have hyperpigmentation hyperpigmentation around the mouth and eyes which is due to increased skin sensitivity and excessive production of melanocytes. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to wash your face with mild soap twice a day and apply kojivit cream , exfoliate your skin twice a week and apply vitamin E oil at night before going to bed. It condition doesn't get improved in a month then consult dermatologist again for proper examination . Doctor may recommend chemical peeling or dermabrasion depending upon the severity of condition. Protect your skin from excess sun exposure as it can worsen the condition.
