General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

H. pylori is a bacterial infection of the stomach.

It needs a specific treatment with antibiotics such as Amoxicillin for 7 to 14 days.

I also suggest using an antacid such as Maalox.

You should use a plain diet and avoid food that can trigger the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
