Suggest Treatment For Hoarseness In Throat And Breathing Difficulty While On Cephalexin
I have been taking cephalexin 500mg for the past couple days for a toe infection. Tonight, i am experiencing throat horseness. This is the only change in my diet or medications. I am not having breathing difficulties. Merely difficulties in speaking.

Thanks for your query . As per your query you have hoarseness in throat and breathing difficulty while on Cephalexin . It seems to me that you are suffering from upper respiratory tract infection (include laryngitis which is reason for voice loss) from very long time . Sometimes during infection when we sneeze or through mucus forcefully through nose mucus goes into Eustachian tube and give feeling of clogged ear. Its being just two day that our are taking medicine , so complete the entire course of medicine as prescribed by doctor . If condition still persist even after completion of course then i would suggest you to consult ENT specialist without any delay for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may order blood test for infection and throat swab test , because yellow mucus is sign of bacterial infection. Doctor may prescribe stronger antibiotics , antiviral decongestants and mucolytic agent for thinning of mucus.
