Suggest Treatment For Hives Causing Dark Brown Spots All Over The Body
I broke out in hives late Saturday and it got worse throughout the day yesterday. I noticed on Saturday afternoon that I had tons of tiny brown spots (pin head size) on my abdomin. It seemed very odd so I googled it and it alluded to a possible allergic reaction. Within hours my torso area (front and back) was covered in hives (burning/itching rash) that eventually spread down the back of upper legs and thighs. Shortly after that it spread to my chest, neck, and face. Since then it has spread to my lower legs and feet; but the torso area has gotten slightly better. Any idea what this could be? I have not had a change in my diet or activities. Thanks.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are suffering from hives causing dark brown spots all over the body. Well hives is the body's reaction to the external stimuli as a allergic reaction. It is very important to find out what exactly causing hives or what factor is responsible for their occurrence , because treatment depends upon the causative factor . As such hives are harmless but when they start interfering in vital activities of life like breathing difficulty in your case then the condition become a kind of medical emergency. Apply ice packs to body for itchiness and redness . So i would suggest you to consult allergy specialist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe other steroid cream, anti inflammatory drug or drugs that can suppress immune system. Doctor may perform skin test and challenge to find out the trigger factor. . The only treatment for hives is steroid therapy.
