Suggest Treatment For High Fever In A 17-month Old
My son is 17 months and has felt hot since 9 pm last night. He threw up this morning around 3:30. He has felt hot since. He’s taken ibuprofen but no change. He screams and cries constantly. His fever at 5:30 pm tonight was 99.2. We live in Fargo ND but are on vacation in Louisiana.

Try to give him paracetamol that is far better than Ibuprofen, and start giving him plenty of oral liquids.
If he could take it well, and he is active, then nothing to worry, but if he can't take orally and remain calm and sleepy, then you need to consult a pediatrician. For vomiting, ondansetron syrup can be given.
