Suggest Treatment For High Blood Sugar While Having Splenic Vein Thrombosis/haematemesis
HI,doctor .my uncle is 44years old .He made an US 5days ago that show splenic vien thrombosis ,portal hypertention,splenomegaly ,belharisial peri portal fibrosis. He has oesophageal varisis with an attack of heamatemisis and he made upper GIT endoscopy and sclerotherapy 1month ago.he is diabetic and now the blood suger is high with randum 455 and he recived insulin without improvement .what is the best treatment of this case

What food is he on
Is he on iv fluids
How much insulin is he on?
How is he administering the insulin
What type of insulin?
I think he is on steroids. the sugar control when on steroids is very difficult.
The best way to control sugars on steroids is to check sugars prior to each meal and take insulin prior to every meal in accordance
