Suggest Treatment For Herpes 1 And 2
Hi, I was just diagnosed with herpes 1 and 2, I have never had a cold sore or genital sores, am very healthy, with no other symtoms, I guess I am asymtomatic as they say. I have been reading about this and a few articles indicate that asymtomatic shedding occurs 10% of days, 10% of what days? per month or per year?

Herpes 1 is causing oral herpes and herpes 2 is causing genital. There is no cure for herpes, treatments can relieve the symptoms. Your doctor can prescribe different medicines to help reduce symptoms and speed up the healing of an outbreak. The medicines work best when you start them soon after an outbreak starts.
When you have it you can reduce your pain by use a portable bath (Sitz bath) warm water you can sit about 20 minutes. Keep the genital area clean and dry and avoid tight clothes, you can take acetaminophen or ibuprofen but avoid aspirin for pain control. Oral herpes do not always need treatment if you have a recurrent symptom. Some treatment need antiviral drug to fight against the virus and some treatments treat just the pain and discomfort of pain.
