Dear- if you have a hiatal hernia, the treatment for it is diet modifications, avoiding spicy food,do not eat and go to sleep just after that, sleep with your upper trunk elevated to avoid reflux which can be very painful. Also, when you have reflux, it can cause cough due to the stimuli of the nerves sorrounding the esophagus.
