Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a small amount of access skin near my anus, it has been there for years and never caused me any trouble. However, in the past week it has become sore to touch and painful when using the toilet, it seems to have grown in size (now a small pea size). It is same colour as the skin around it and is attached just next to the anus. Thanks, Katherine
Hello Katherine, Welcome to HCM. From your description it appears that you might have hemorrhoids inside as you rightly suspect or also could be fissure in ano, both of which is known to cause such complaints. It is mainly constipation which triggers the symptoms such as pain and bleeding during defecation. You need to visit a Surgeon and get cryosurgery done to get cured. To avoid constipation, you can take laxative powders or tablet, which would give you temporary relief from symptoms and aid smooth passage of stools. Hope the information provided would be useful. Wish you good health.
