I have been bleeding since about September with about a two day respite throughout. I am 20 and female. Recently, I have started to bleed very heavily for about three weeks. I have blood clots coming out also. Do you think this could be something serious?
Hi, I have gone through your question. Heavy and prolonged bleeding is known as menorrhagia. It can have causes like 1. Hormonal changes and disturbances 2. Lesions in uterus like fibroid 3. Abnormality in the blood like coagulation or bleeding disorders. I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated( hormonal profile, ultrasound and blood examination) and get appropriate treatment for the cause. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
