Suggest Treatment For Heavy Menstrual Bleeding With Thickening Of Endometrium Lining

hi i am having heavy bleeding this period. I had taken IUI this month. Period flow is heavy and big clots. My endometrium lining is 1.9cm. So doctor said i should take trapic tablet for 3 days and come on the 12th day. if the lining is still thick, he want me to undergo hysteroscopy and D&C. Now i have a question will taking trapic tablet stop the endometrium to shed its lining? I want to naturally shed the endometrium. By taking trapic, I dont want to end up getting D&C done. Please suggest should I take the trapic tablet?

Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the use of Trapic tablet which contains Tranexemic acid is to control acute phase of bleeding by its actions at capillary levels. The Trapic as no action on the uterine endometrial shedding and do not panic for that part.

The dilation and curettage procedure is to control acute phase of bleeding as well as the histopathology report of the material gives a best precise diagnosis of any abnormality seen in the uterine epithelial lining as:
@ Atypical cells
@ Early dysplasia
@ Carcinoma in situ or
@ Carcinoma

Kindly get the procedure done at earliest to prevent development of anemia and other complications.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
