Suggest Treatment For Heavy Menstrual Bleeding And Abdominal Pain

I went to the obgyn for heavy menstrual bleeding and pain. they started me on a medicine to stop the bleeding still taking. I stopped my period two days ago. I started having the pelvic pains again on the left side of my pelvic/bladder area. I am doubled over in pain and I have to take a good bit of Ibuprofen and Tylenol for the pain on my period and off. What could be causing all the pain????

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Heavy menstrual bleeding with pain could be due to endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disorder, fibroid, hormonal imbalance.
I would suggest to consult your gynecologist and undergo examination, reproductive hormone analysis, USG scan to confirm cause.
If pain is not tolerable then take tramadol injection
You can take tablet meftal spas for pain three times per day after food
Other specific treatment depend on cause of problem
Prentral or oral antibiotic like ceftriaxone and docycycline will help you
Hope this may help you

Contact further if follow up needed
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
