Suggest Treatment For Heavy Menstrual Bleeding And Abdominal Cramps

I m going to hospital next week,been bleeding from beginning of May but severely heavy with clots since June.I am now on three northisterone a day not working too good now ,waking up with cramps and heavy bleed in morning.I have tried the acid tablets but didn t work for me .I had ablation and fibroid removed two years ago now but back to square one .Can I up these tablets until seen at hospital .feeling tired and flat. Thanks susam

Hi Susan

The first thing I would recommend is to discontinue the norethisterone as it can also promote bleeding, and so please go ahead and discontinue it.

the next thing I would advise is a visit to your doctor for a thorough physical examination including a speculum examination and an ultrasound examination of your lower abdomen and pelvis to find the cause for the abnormal bleed.
