Suggest Treatment For Headache Caused By An Injury

I got hit really hard while playing lacrosse. I got an instantaneous headache that was extremely painful. It slowly went away but not completely, I took some ibuprofen and it helped but I just sneezed and the same excruciatingly painful came back. I'm worried and not sure what to do

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Headache on sneezing after head injury is common. No need to worry much for this.
Do following things for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid sudden jerky movements of head.
2. Take combination of painkiller and anti inflammatory drugs.
3. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep your self hydrated.
4. Apply ice packs on affected part of head.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these in 1-2 weeks.
If after 1-2 weeks you still feel headache then consult doctor and get done clinical examination and CT scan too rule out internal brain injury.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
