Suggest Treatment For Having TPHA Positive Test Result

my dad has a job offer at the middle east, unfortunately his tpha is positive. he done all the treatment that is possible.but all the injections and antibiotic didn t kick in or hasn t made any difference to him. all his medical results are great except for this tpha. i did a research about this and most of them says it remains in the blood forever and its normal. is there anything else he can do about this and can the doctor give a certificate that he is fit to work and will not affect this. thanks

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The TPHA is Treponema Pallidum Hem-agglutination Assay, which measures the presence of antibodies to Treponema after syphilis manifestations clinically. These antibodies remain in blood circulation for rest of the life and hence the report of TPHA remains positive for rest of the life without any ill effects, rather it is protective.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
