Suggest Treatment For Hard Lump On Tailbone

Hard bone like painless lump to my right of the tailbone. Not visible, appeared suddenly whilst I was ill with a common cold. Noticed it felt inflamed and uncomfortable on the first day whilst laying in the bath, however it hasn t felt like that since and just feels like a hard small bump almost like a bone. What is this? Thanks

Welcome to HCM
I have read and understood your query
Hope this will help you
The painless hard bump you are mentioning is most probably a cyst that is calcified a ganglion or a heamatoma.i would take it as a ganglion as you mentioned it is as hard as a bone.Do you remember any trauma?
As it is at tail bone it will be discomforting but i would suggest you to wait for 2 weeks. If it does not go away,it must be drained with a needle then. But if it changes colour or become inflamed, meet a surgeon asap.
