Suggest Treatment For Hair Loss On Eyebrows

Im 39 female, I have a problem of eyebrows hair loss. I lost my eyebrows completely with itching. Dermatologist suggested Lamisil tablets n Lemisil cream with cutivate ointment. Conaz lotion for washing, I rescued n recovered my eyebrows. But now I m facing the same problem again, hair fall has started again. I visited a skin specialist who suggested Eczemus ointment 0.1% and Minoxin Lotion. But I want to know is it appropriate according to me? Is it alopicia areata? Because my upper lips and forehead s hairs are also falling since few months. Kindly guide me, I would be very thankful to you. Best regards.

Hello,

Welcome to healthcare magic.

From your history and description, I would consider the possibilities of alopecia areata and hypothyroidism.

Both these conditions can cause thinning and loss of eyebrows.

Alopecia areata presents as patches of baldness. Hypothyroidism usually causes generalized thinning and not discrete patches.

Please get a thyroid profile test done.

Consult your dermatologist and request a skin biopsy if necessary.

Hope this helps you.

Take care.
