I am a 36 year old female and I lost all of my sex drive. I can't take any hormones due to my history with blood clots. Please help. I have enjoyed my sex life with my husband for 17 years but now I am never in the mood. I have tried so many herbal medications but nothing is working. Please I will try anything.

The presence of desire depends on several factors: biological drive, adequate self-esteem, the ability to accept oneself as a sexual person, previous good experiences with sex, the availability of an appropriate partner, and a good relationship in nonsexual areas with a partner. Damage to, or absence of, any of these factors can diminish desire. further more many drugs (like SSRIs), hormonal imbalance, certain psychological disorders (stress, anxiety, depression)can cause diminished sexual desire. Abstinence from sex for a prolonged period can also sometimes results in suppression of sexual impulses. you are definitely having a problem but stay cool because your apprehensions and anxiety will only add to your problem rather than helping you. i would suggest you to visit psychiatrist nearby.
