Suggest Treatment For Gerd And Vomiting

I have had gerd since 1987. did not take rx s until 2000. have been on nexium and all the others since. even with the meds I get reflux nearly every night. up until a year ago I threw up several times a week. it was always dry heaves and so scary because I thought I was going to gag and die. I started a year ago fighting this nightly nausea. I have tried everything. Lately I am using alka seltzer chews. sometimes helps and if not I soak crackers in milk. I have not let it make me throw up for nearly a year, but the getting sick part is still awful. It s a fight and it is always after I take my meds. (amitryptelene and sertraline) A few months ago I had a test and was told I had Barrets Esophagus. I went to my family doc and all he told me was he had only seen one person die from it and that was just because they did not care. I am using aloe in my juicing and I mix it with my juices. I also add yogurt and ginger. This is so stressful and worrysome. Is there anything else I should be doing. I am 67 yrs old and about 40 pounds over weight. I am a widow and live alone. I will take any suggestions seriously.

Hello
thanks for your question
you need not to worry barrets oesophagus can be kept under check by managing acid reflux

in my opinion you should take PPI ( proton pump inhibitors ) group of drugs like pantoprazole with antacids and probiotics
do not lie down immediately after food
have semi solid food less liquids
avoid smoiking and acohol
you should avoid fatty fried spicy and junk foods as well as carbonated drinks
Have plenty of fluids and fresh fruits like citrus fruits pineapple and lemon water which helps in indigestion

please revert back to us with all details I will be happy to help you
Regards
