Can A Shaving Cream Lead To Genital Warts When Monogamous?
i used veet shaving cream last week, and three days ago i found these little bumps in my vagina, i went to the hospital, and the doctor said i have genital warts.....could it be from the cream, because I ve had the same sex partner for months and nothing like this happened
Hi Thanks for posting your query on HCM I have read and understood your concern Genital warts are mostly caused by HPV infection which is an STI.Your symptoms may not be caused by the cream. In healthy people, visible warts may always go away without any prticular treatment. But in some cases, your Doctor may precribe topical wart treatments like -imiquimod (Aldara) -podophyllin and podofilox (Condylox) -trichloroacetic acid (TCA) If visible wart do not go away on topical treatment or if large, your Doctor may remove through: electrocautery, cryosurgery, laser treatments, excision, Interferon injections. In your case, i will advise you see the Doctor for examnation and the best treament for you will be prescribed by your Doctor. Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns Best regards
