hello, thanks for your query, acidity can be relieved with non spicy diet, avoid smoking , alcohol, fatty diet, do exercises, keep 3 hours interval between food and sleep, take small 6 meals instead of large 3.keep your head elevated in sleeping posture by supporting extra pillows. Take antacid syrup like zellusil mps 2 tsp twice daily, continue your ppi inhibitors like pan- d( pantoprazole+ domperidone) for 4-6 weeks before food. Hope I have answered your query. All the best. Take care.

General & Family Physician Dr. Michelle Gibson James's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Gastritis is inflammation or infection of the stomach. It can occur due to different causes , the most common are viral or bacterial infection, acid reflux or peptic ulcer disease.

Since it is long standing then it is more likely related to acid reflux. In some cases of reflux, infection with a bacteria called h pylori can play a role as well.

This is treated with lifestyle changes to the diet and with medications.

You may want to consult a gastroenterologist who may be able to suggest appropriate treatment for you.

I hope this helps
