Suggest Treatment For Gastritis , Swollen Colon And Stomach Bloating
I am having problems with gas, bloating and very loud sounds coming from my colon area. I also get a lot of belching. I am a 76-year old female. My CT scan showed my sigmoid colon was swollen. I know I will need a colonoscopy. My fecal blood test was good, plus my blood work is very good. I have lost weight. I also get spasms in that area. I wonder if I could have IBS or Crohn s disease.
Hello Bloating might be related to following conditions like Aeriphagia (swallowing of air) Acid peptic disease or stomach hyperacidity Liver and gall bladder disease intestinal disease
In my opinion you should take ranitidine or pantoprazole group of drugs with antacids for 2 to 3 days Have soft diet consisting of lots of fresh fruit and vegetables or fruits juices
Swollen sigmoid colon might be related to inflammation of the wall of intestine, you may require a course of antibiotics under supervision
If symptoms doesn't improve with all these measures than you may require a colonoscooy and testing to rul out tuberculosis. Thanks for your question. Please feel free to ask for further queries I will be happy to help you Best wishes
