Suggest Treatment For Frequent Urination

Hi. I am 38 years old and I m fit and healthy. At age 30 I ruptured a disc, L5S1, then about a year later I was admitted for appendicitis. I noticed from that time on that I had to urinate more regularly. I still have problems with my back in that area although I believe the op went well. I drink coffee 1-2 times a day and would consume 1-3 beers 1-2 a week. Of late I have had to urinate even more and I ve been urinating less although never with pain and I have a good pelvic floor due to Pilates. I have also been feeling a bit acidic in my stomach and I ve been a bit stressed after moving interstate. Thanks for any comments you can make.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your symptoms of frequent urination following a ruptured disc I am suggesting you have developed a lower motor neuron lesion though the frequent urination is not related to your alcohol habit nor the intake of your coffee
In view of this please see an urologist specialist for further expect clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription
I hope this helps
