Suggest Treatment For Foul Smelling Urine

My urine has seemingly developed a really foul odor overnight, I'd classify it as musty and ammonia-like. I had unprotected sex a few weeks prior to first noticing the smell. The odor has lasted about two days. It doesn't burn when I pee and I am not consuming asparagus and am fairly well hydrated. Any clues as to what could be going on?

I have an appointment with an OBGYN tomorrow morning, but I am hoping to get an idea on what to asl.

I being a surgeon, we encounter so many such cases and I can say that you are suffering from urinary tract infection, Uti that we call as.

I will analyze your history..

1. Foul smelling, ammonia like odour clearly indicates some kind of infection going on. In the kidneys or bladder most commonly .

2. Yes, unprotected sex is a definitive risk factor for Uti..
Hygiene matters..

3. Female gender itself is a risk factor for uti, because
A. 4cm Urethra, small one compared to males
B. Vicinity of Urethra to vagina and anal canal.

4. Well hydrated is good thing, hope you are taking atleast 4 litre of water daily .

Well, I will tell how to go about now..
1. Get these tests done..
A. Urine routine and microscopy
B. Urine culture and sensitivity.

With these we can come to a conclusion on what organism is causing these problems...
And treat accordingly..
