Hello,

You have a history of Fibromyalgia & Dercum's disease (rare disease). Presently, you are sick with facial swelling & fluid coming out of the cracked skin.

The symptoms that you have commonly occurred due to an allergic reaction, sinusitis, a side effect of certain medication/drug you are taking, thyroid issues or cellulitis.

You are suggested to take non-sedating ant histamine like Levocetirizine, analgesic to reduce the inflammation. You can apply Lacto calamine lotion or Neosporin ointment at skin cracks.

Keep your skin moisturized, dry skin also gets cracked. Vitamin deficiencies cause dry skin.

You are suggested to visit an ENT, get physically examined to detect allergy or sinusitis. He may refer you to a GP for thyroid, anaphylaxis, cellulitis & fibromyalgia issues.

Get all required investigations done, get assessed, get treated. You may need oral or intravenous antibiotics. Your treatment will depend upon the pathology detected. You can tale NSAIDS(Naproxen), one sos when in discomfort.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
