Suggest Treatment For Fibroids And Ovarian Cysts

Hello, I ve had pain in my left lower abdomen and back for years now. Finally, I just was diagnosed with 2 fibroids and 1 complex ovarian cyst. 4.6cm, 1.8 cm and the cyst is 1.4cm. Coincidentally I started very slightly bleeding a few days ago (period over for more than a week) and today I had a horrible stomach ache with bad diarrhea, which I often get. While on the toilet, I noticed blood from my vagina and a big clot came out. Did not feel well at all. I m still bleeding a little and have bad cramps along with back pain and left arm pain. Doctor is unavailable to talk, being a 4 day holiday weekend. But she had told me she just wanted to watch the fibroids and cyst for 6 months and that they couldn t be responsible for stomach problems and that I should see a GI for that. Thoughts? I m still cramping and feel awful. Worries about a possible rupture according to the symptoms?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The vaginal bleeding can be due to fibroids and ovarian cyst. Since the fibroids are symptomatic with cramps and bleeding, they need to be managed by surgical removal in case you have completed your family. The ovarian cyst also needs to be removed since it is complex is 4 cm in largest dimension. Pain in stomach can be due to indigestion. Thus, I suggest you to consult your gastroenterologist and thus management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
