Can Ovarian Cysts Cause Menstrual Irregularities?

i have had ovarian cyst and fibroids for close to 4yrs now. i did a pelvic sacn and was told the fibroids are not growing but the cyst has become larger. i missed my period this month and my pregnancy test came out negative. whats cld have caused the missed period and what to do about it

Hi I think ovarian cyst can be the reason of not getting periods. You can take some medicines like meprate or deviry for inducing periods. You can take some hormonal treatment for 3 months and then check the size of cyst. If cyst is more than 5 cm and is cimplex in nature, get a CA125 level done. Hope it helps.
