Suggest Treatment For Fever, Itchy Legs, Sore Neck Muscles And Throat

Hi, I ve never tried talking to an online doctor before, but about a week ago I noticed my neck muscles were sore, then 4 days ago I came down with a sore throat and a fever. I finally started taking mucinex, and a couple hours after the first dose I noticed itching on the sides of my legs. I later noticed the bumps on the left side of my leg were mirrored on the same spots on right side of my leg. The bumps became warm and tender to the touch. Is this an allergic reaction to the Mucinex or is it something else? I had a lymph node infection under my arm months ago, and these bumps feel similar and are under my arm as well. Thanks, -Greg

Hi,

* As per my clinical experience, the fever, itchy legs, sore neck muscles and throat discomfort with blisters over leg skin indicate possible issue with inflammatory response to underlying bacterial or viral infection most likely. My guidelines at present

- drink more liquids
- gargles with salted lukewarm water 3 times a day
- tablet acetaminophen ( 400 mg ) every 6 hourly
- prescription of antibiotics as cephalexin or others
- anti histamine as cetrizine or diphenhydramine
- local application of calamine lotion with antiseptic care of itchy leg spots.
