Suggest Treatment For Fever And Lower Abdominal Pain

Hello, my husband has been experiancing lower abdominal pain for 2 days, he believed that it was due to not having a bowel movement. He took magnesium citraite , which helped his bowels, but the pain has not subsided. He has now reached to point as to vomit. Im conflicted to take him to a normal family practice DR or straight to the ER. His temp is slightly elevated to 99.6.

Hello welcome to the health care magic

Fever with abdominal pain suggest towards enteritis like infection

If needed Antibiotic course prescribed for five days

Constipation can lead pain but here fever also present so infection or inflammation seems most likely

If needed blood culture can be done for diagnosis of typhoid if needed

USG scan also done for primary work up

If diarrhea also present than stool examination done

Take care

Avoid excess spicy foods

Drink more water

Hope this will help you
