Suggest Treatment For Fatigue, Dry And Itchy Scalp And Lumps On Neck

Hello. Hoping this will be replied. 3 days ago i noticed 2 moveable lumps on the right side of my neck towards the back. It is not noticeable but if i turn my head to the left,i think you could see one of them raised on the skin. The size is maybe 1 centimeter each. One is located below the other. I have been having dry, itchy scalp for about 2 months since i moved house. If i scratch on my scalp,i would find black grainy flecks like a black sand kind of thing. I was thinking it may be because of the water here (?). My skin is quite sensitive (i change pillowsheets 2 times a week if i dont want to get pimples) I checked numerous times for lice/bedbugs but i found none. I also share a bed with my husband and 2 children. I also feel my ears are itchy at times. I live in South East Asia and here doctor appointment costs the same as a month s supply of rice. So i will wait for next 2 weeks if the lumps get enlarged or something. I have also experienced fatigue these past 3 days (not sure if its a symptom of just because i can t stop thinking about this so i focus my mind to googling this matter) Do you happen to have any idea what this might be? Thanks!

Hello,

You have developed movable lumps on the right side of the neck, such lumps commonly occur due to swollen salivary glands caused by infection. Bacterial or viral infections may cause enlargement of the lymph nodes. Medical conditions like cysts, tumors and cancer may also cause such symptoms. You can take a course of Augmentin or Ampilox (combination of ampicillin and cloxacillin), analgesics, one SOS when discomfort. Gargle with warm water and salt 3-4 times a day. It should reduce and get better.

If it is a cyst or tumor, you will have to get Imaging tests (X-ray, CT, MRI) and biopsy done so that treatment can be started at the earliest. Take non sedating antihistamines, once daily for 5 days so that allergic scalp itchiness gets controlled. Keep your scalp clean, use Selsun shampoo. Keep your scalp oiled with almond or coconut oil. Wash the clothes and beddings that you share in hot water or savlon / dettol frequently. Avoid exposure to sunlight.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
