Suggest Treatment For Excessive Salivation, Enlarged Tongue And Fluid Discharge From Ears
A couple years ago I started having excessive saliva and my tounge inlarged and doesn t quite fit in my mouth. I also noticed an increase in the clear fluid draining from my ears. Now my cousin who is two years younger than me just started having the same problem. It started at the same age for both of us. Any thought on what could be happening to us? What can we do to fix it?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your query, you are having excessive salivation, enlarged tongue and fluid discharge from ears which could be due to oral infection or improper hygiene.
Sometimes, infection spreads from oral cavity to ear if left untreated. I would suggest you to consult a dentist for proper examination and start treatment as per diagnosis.
Doctor will examine physically and perform oral prophylaxis. Doctor may refer you to an ENT specialist for ear infection. Take antisialogogues and now maintain proper oral hygiene and avoid eating spicy and heavy food.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
