Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. You are 74 years old, have hypertension, obesity and diabetes. Advancing age and all medical conditions you have are aggravating factors for poor erection. First of all I would advise you to get your BP checked regularly. In most of cases of erectile dysfunction uncontrolled BP is commonly found. Also get your HbA1c levels checked. These levels will give an idea about long term control of sugar. Poorly controlled sugar levels are also a cause of erectile dysfunction.

If every thing come normal then visit a psychiatrist for help. As you have history of heart attack and have other medical conditions so management of erectile dysfunction would be difficult but to some extent it can be managed. Try to understand the changes in body with age and don't expect big at this age. Spend a lot of time in foreplay and this will help in good erection. If you are not taking any Nitrates antihypertensives then PDE 5 inhibitor drugs as Sildenafil, Tadalafil etc can help you. These drugs when taken prior to intercourse help to provide good erections. Visit a psychiatrist for help.

Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
