I work at a plant that rotates all 8 maintenance employees. I have an enlarged prostate and working shifts for the last 3 years has drove my psa levels to over 20. 3 months ago my urologist checked but there was no cancer. Another problem is the first 2 nights of each week on midnight shift, after 2 hours of sleep I wake up with the urge to urinate but I cannot go unless I walk around for about 10 minutes. This is sometimes very painful. This only happens when I work the midnight shift. I am going to my Dr this Thursday and my urologist next week. What kind of excuse can I ask him to write to get me off midnight shift. I am also top senior man with 35 years seniority. My family is also complaining I am getting mean when I work the midnight shift because this week I get up at 5am and next week I go to bed at 8am.
