I m 24 year old male, I recently gone through health checkup and found that my SGPT level is too high i.e: 139. I dont smoke or drink, however I am suffering with cough and cold since 15 days and taking antibiotic and pain killers for the same. Could you please suggest what can be the reason for the high SGPT level? Height: 5.8, Weight: 64
Are you taking medications containing acetaminophen? Anything over 3-4 grams per day can be toxic to the liver. Also, viral hepatitis can cause elevated liver enzymes.
