Hello, I have a 11 month old and she gets sick a lot, such as: she has had a lot of ear infections. I am thinking that she is immune compromised based on her reoccurring infections. It is nearing the time for her MMR shot which contains a live viruses. Should I be concerned about the shot? Her doctor doesn t think so, but I am just wanting to get another opinion.
I went through the history you have posted. It seems from the history that your 11 month old is having recurring ear infections. Infections usually involving the ear, nose or throat are common in children and these can be treated with appropriate treatment. Hence there is no need to worry. Vaccination by MMR will not cause these problems. This can be treated by the use of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs.
Do consult your doctor for further examination and prescription of drugs.
