Suggest Treatment For Dull Ache In Hand And Pain In Wrist

my wrist has been hurting for 3 days. its a dull ache but when i use my hand outstretched it REALLY hurts and when i move it certain directions it really gets me too. tylenol helps, but the pain comes back. i fell on my outstretched hands two months ago and it hurt a few days and had scrapes, but that pain went away. it was a 3ft drop so i tore the skin off my knee pretty good. but now since carrying an ice chest a couple days ago it hurts a lot now.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve in the wrist. I suggest continuing using Tylenol for the pain three times a day. I also suggest maintaining the area immobilized.

Cold compresses may also recommend reducing pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
