I have had diarrhea now for 12 days. It started while I was in the Dominican Republic on vacation. It started on a Thursday. On Friday, I ran a fever of 102.8, but just briefly. I took ibuprofen once and in about an hour or so, it broke. I feel fine as if nothing is wrong; no nausea, no vomiting. I have IBS so I m used to dealing mainly with constipation, and alittle diarrhea. I ve had it for years so I usually know how to get it back on track. But I have not been able to do that this time. I m really starting to worry that maybe I have a parasite or worm that I may have picked up over there. No one else in my group that went have any problems. We have major snow here, so my doctor s office is closed. Oh, I also took some Immodium which sort of helped for a little bit, but the cramping that came with that was not worth it. What should I look for, and when should I really be worried?
