Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I've been depressed for over a year now and I want to talk to someone about it. My teacher asked me for the 5th time "What's wrong?" today so I finally kind of started explaining and now I want to continue talking to him because I've been extra depressed today because I kinda of opened up partially. How do I bring it up again? Should I email him first or what? help. thanks.
I am glad to note that you decided to open up regarding your problems. It will definitely help you with your problems. Regarding talking to him again, you can simply approach him and express that you felt better talking to him and would like to continue doing it. I am sure your teacher would help you out. You can even email him expressing your gratitude for his concern and that you felt good after talking to him and would like to continue doing it.
In addition, you should also consider consulting a psychiatrist for your issues. If you are suffering from clinical depression, early treatment initiation will help in overcoming your symptoms in a better way. Medications like escitalopram would be efficacious. You should also consider exercising daily, as that will help you relax.
Hope this information was helpful. Best wishes.
