Suggest Treatment For Deep Vein Thrombosis In Right Leg
My wife has Leidens factor 5 and factor 2, she is currently on Coumadin 11.5 mg. Her veins in her right leg are deep vein thrombosis and she has blood flow going both ways in the inner side of that leg. She has seen a doctor and he told her the only thing he can do is put a filter in but I am looking for alternatives. Can anyone help her?

Placement of a filter in leg vein can prevent thrombo embolism which is a serious complication .It doesn't cure thrombosis.If it is a single thrombus or in short length of a vessel, it can be removed , otherwise you will have to continue anti coagulant drugs.
