Suggest Treatment For Dark Spots Around Sun Burnt Skin

So I went to the beach for a few hours and got a little burnt, not very badly. Usually itll go away within the next day or 2 leaving a tan, which it did, but then around 3 days later dozens of the dark spots appeared all over the areas where I got burnt. What are these and how do I get rid of them? Also I was looking into laser treatment for it, would that be a good idea??? Im worried the skin wouldnt go back to how it looked before and it could be a bad mistake. Im 15 so im pretty sure its not age spots

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of dark spots around sun burnt skin which occurs because sun exposure trigger the melanocytes of skin to produce melanin pigment which cause dark complexion or dark spots. Need not to worry.

I would suggest you to :-

- Apply kojic acid cream at night which is a natural extract of mushroom , very effective and safe for long term use.

- Wash your face with cold water and mild soap twice a day.

- Drink at least 8-9 glasses f water daily and eat citrus fruits.

- Exfoliate your skin once a week to remove the dead skin and bacteria .

- Apply broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 even if your are not under sun exposure to prevent your skin from further damage .

If condition doesn't start getting better then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe procedure like chemical peeling , microdermabrassin. or may prescribe hydro-cortisone cream.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
