Suggest Treatment For Dark Purple Breast Along With Pain After A Fall
I fell on my right side and my breast didn t bruise for a few days. Now it is dark purple and it hurts to take a deep breath. I have iced it off and on. Today is the 5th day I hurt more today than before . Put more ice. Moved around some but I still hurt
Do not neglect any kind of breast abrasion or bruise. You are recommended to get physically examined, unexplained bruising can sometimes be a sign of inflammatory breast cancer. The signs are pain & inflammation, skin dimpling, change in the appearance of nipples, etc. Get evaluated, you may have to get CT or bone scan done to confirm the spread to the lymph nodes. Chemotherapy, radiation therapy are quite effective.
It is not necessary that it may be cancer but gets examined to rule out the risk at the earliest.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Nupur K,
