Suggest Treatment For Dark Patches On The Underarms
I have dark underarms and a doctor prescribed me a cream called Melacare. I applied it for todays and my skin got really red and itchy. And now the redness has turned into dark patches and my underarms look worse than before. I'm really desperate to do something abt this

This cream is a combination of tretinoin, hydroquinone and mometasone. It is a prescrption product only for dermatologists.
This cream is never to be used in the underarm region because both tretinoin as well as hydroquinone are irritants and using this cream in the underarm region is bound to cause irritant dermatitis.
If I was the treating doctor I would suggest you to use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate 0.05%, twice daily. That should resolve the irritation within a week.
An OTC oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10 mg once daily will provide you symptomatic relief from itching and discomfort.
Once irritation has resolved, you may use a different pigment lightening cream e.g kojic acid, which is non-irritant and therefore can be safely used in the delicate skin of the underarms.
It is a prescription product and therefore I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist for the needful.
