Suggest Treatment For Cystic Fibrosis

hi i have cystic fibrosis and recently found out that i am constipated all the time. everytime i have a bowel movement it feels like there is still stuff to come out. last week i had a very busy week with work and only had 4-5 hours sleep every night, when the weekend came i got to have a real sleep. i got 6 hours of sleep thn woke up and had a large bowel movement then went straight back to bed, i got another 4 hours sleep and again as soon as i woke up i had another large bowel movement and went straight back to bed. the same again after gettng 2 hours sleep and when i woke again my tummy felt clear for the first time ever in my life (im 27 years old). all this time i thought i might be a little overweight even though i had defined abdomial muscles (i exercise a lot both weight & cardio & play rugby) . my tummy was completely flat and felt totally cleared. i have seen my dr today and they have given me movicol, i tried one sachet and had a bowel movement some hours later but still have the feeling of not being totally cleared. should i up the movicol dose or try it for a few more days before doing so? what do you recomend? regards

Hello,

How do you know that are you suffering from cystic fibrosis?

You may be suffering from irritable bowel syndrome or infection or gastritis.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Use tab. pantoprazole. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.

Age of presentation from 6-8months of the newborn.

No permanent solutions for cystic fibrosis. Gene therapy is used but have to check for it.

If symptoms not improved please consult your gastroenterologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
