Suggest Treatment For Cyst On Thyroid

If the cysts on my thyroid turn out to be cancer (doctor has already stated the whole thyroid is coming out due to number and size of cysts) and I have to take the radioactive pill, how long will I have to stay away from my daughters and granddaughters?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Treatment depends on cause. If you have multiple cyst then it can be colloid nodule or cystic papillary carcinoma. If comes papillary carcinoma then you have to take radiotherapy also. But dosages and duration depends on type of cancer, lymph - vascular invasion, capsular invasion and lymphnode status. So go for surgery and give me follow up with your histopathology report.

Further plan depends on that report.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
