Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have kinda like little cuts on the vagina and one blister. i m not sexually active and i didn t know this until i started my period and used tampons and now i cringe in pain when i use the bathroom, bathe, or even move. what do i do and how can i treat these?
Vaginal cuts can be quite painful but they will heal soon if you maintain proper hygiene and take some precautions.
Wash your vaginal area with warm water at least thrice daily. After washing the area dry it properly and wear lose cotton undergarments. Avoid using harsh chemicals or soaps as it will irritate the area and cause pH imbalance.
If you are having a lot of pain take an over the counter painkiller like Advil, Ibuprofen or Tylenol for a few days. It is not advisable to apply an antibiotic ointment in the vagina but you can apply a barrier ointment like Aquaphor to help it heal faster. If you are not relieved in a few days then you should get yourself examined by a gynecologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
