Suggest Treatment For Cough, Congestion And Body Pain

My husband and I both have either an upper respiratory inf or the flu....coughing to the point of gagging, cough congested plus body aches. My husbands kidneys are hurting....he drinks a ton of water so can t imagine it being a kidney infection. My question....does the flu cause kidney pain? If not, what else could it be? Thx

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is flu like symptoms then this may not cause any kidney problem and there is some pain or symptom that creates doubt for renal pathology then this could be different one and not related with present complaint of cough, during the coughing force of this travels downward and this is little high in intensity, and this may cause pain in kidney area, and this does not mean any renal problem, this is of course not due to any flu, still if you want to clear the doubt of renal problem then get done the ultrasonography test, hope this information helps, take care.
