Suggest Treatment For Cough And White-colored Phlegm

Hi sir my name is Seshu age 23 sex:male. Problem::sir, I have been suffering from phlegm of white color and cough for five months I am getting weak and I lost my weight also ...is it dangerous and how can I cure it...sir I have undergone an operation to remove tonsils in the nose....dust is directly coming to nose some times I observe....please give me solution

Hi,

The issue with cough and white sputum suggest acute bacterial infection of lower respiratory tract and impaired immune system.

Though primary relief with cough formulations containing dextromethorphan and codeine are helpful; I would recommend prescription of antibiotic as penicillin or cephalosporin to get it cleared earliest way.

Do gargles with salted lukewarm water added peppermint oil for time being therapy at home. Avoid all intake of aerated drinks, excess sugar and exposure to dust or pollen containing atmosphere (use of face mask is best recommended) Avoidance of active or passive smoking.
